Jeromy M. DeMeyer
Jeromy is a 1995 graduate of Lynden High School and currently works as survey manager. He obtained his Land Surveyor in Training Certificate in 2011 and his Professional License in 2013. He has been employed full-time since June of 1995, and in 2013, he purchased the business. He serves as a hands-on, detailed-oriented mentor working alongside Brett and others in the areas of direct client contact, problem solving, estimating and preparing project scope and proposals, direction and supervision of field crews and technical staff, deed research, boundary analysis and computations, preparation of final plats, right-of-way maps, easement exhibits, legal descriptions and quality control reviews. Jeromy has a strong background and experience level in the collection of field data using both conventional (theodolite) and GPS (real time and Static) technologies, together with responsible charge to the day-to-day operations.
Mr. DeMeyer is a man of integrity and heart and is known as a straight-shooter. His structural thinking, punctuality and level-headed leadership style allows him to create an organized, disciplined and detail-oriented workplace culture. He is extremely client driven and strives for Northwest Surveying to be the best.
Brett DeVries
Brett is a 1991 graduate of Lynden High School and Bellingham Technical College’s Surveying Technician program in 1994. He was employed here from 1998 to 2004 and again full-time since May, 2009. Brett obtained his Land Surveyor in Training Certificate in 2005 and his Professional License in 2012. He also has a strong background and experience level in research, calculations and drafting with CAD.
Mr. DeVries is a brilliant, dedicated and respected member of our team. He brings to the table a style that is a perfect balance of completing the job done in a timely fashion all while maintaining the dignity of the product.

Dennis M. DeMeyer, P.L.S.
Mr. DeMeyer is a lifelong resident of Whatcom County and has been surveying for over 44 years. Graduating from Ferndale High School in 1967 and Everett Community College with an Associate Degree in Forest Technology in 1969, he passed the land surveyor’s exam and received his surveyor’s license in 1983.
Mr. DeMeyer’s experience includes:
- 1969 to 1974: Forest Technician; Bellingham Division of Georgia Pacific Corporation.
- 1974 to 1983: Assistant Logging Engineer; Georgia Pacific Corp., Bellingham.
- 1983 to 1988: Land Surveyor and Senior Logging Engineer for Georgia Pacific Corporation and owner/sole proprietor, Northwest Surveying, Lynden, WA.
- 1984 to 2012: owner of Northwest Surveying & GPS in Lynden, WA. Honored as the Washington State “Surveyor of the Year” by the Land Surveyors Association of Washington (L.S.A.W.), the only surveyor in Whatcom County to hold that distinction. First of only two honorary United States Deputy Surveyors in the U.S. He retired to Blaine in 2012.
Mr. DeMeyer has been instrumental in the development of this team. He has mentored each member and passed down valuable knowledge. He will continue to provide his expertise in boundary surveying to this team as needed.

Northwest Surveying & GPS Inc. is a full-service Land Surveying company founded on the premise and understanding that successful projects are the result of a strong and energized team led by clear communication and competent professionals and employees.
Northwest Surveying & GPS, Inc. was founded by Denny DeMeyer in 1984. Denny is a lifelong (67 year) native of Whatcom County, graduating from Ferndale High School in 1967 and Everett Community College with an Associate Degree in Forest Technology in 1969. He passed the land surveyor’s exam and received his surveyor’s license in 1983. Denny is now retired and his son, Jeromy has purchased the company.
